PETROTEX Smoke Free
According to the World Health Organization, smoke free laws directly influence the demand for tobacco use. Establishments that create an environment where smoking becomes difficult ultimately force a way of thinking and smoking becomes less accepted in public places.
Research has shown that second hand smoke can be just as dangerous as direct smoking and can cause severe ailments or disease. This includes lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, emphysema, bronchitis and asthma. By banning smoking in all establishments we can substantially improve air quality and promote healthy living.
The Petrotex Global Community fully supports and promotes ‘healthy living’ and therefore smoking has been banned inside all PETROTEX buildings. India/UNC fully supports a no-smoking policy as well because of its tremendous health benefits. The no smoking policy applies to everyone on campus.
